Conny – from the hardware store parking lot

Winter…. freezing cold…parking lot hardware store. Mini kitten in a corner of the house eating something under a pallet…I go in, buy what I wanted, a saleswoman who knows me and speaks some German comes up to me and says “there’s a little cat in the yard, I gave it something to eat, but the boss said the cat has to go, and quickly, otherwise he’ll dispose of it. I only have a small apartment and I’m not allowed to keep animals, I’m heartbroken, can you do something?” “Sure, and whoosh…..WELCOME, Conny…..the woman fetches me another small box for the kitten because I didn’t have a box with me, and tearfully helps me to get the little one into the box and into the car…Today Conny is a happy Top Mojo cat in the semi-feral group, sometimes she comes to me, she already recognizes me, but otherwise she is rather independent, but healthy and fit. Otherwise that would have been the end of her that day….
