Puffychika – With the winking eye

Puffychika was named after Puffy, who also has this fine, fluffy (puffy) coat…She has a defect in the 2nd eyelid, probably caused by an injury, so that she cannot open one eye properly. In Germany the operation would be routine, in Moldavia nobody can do it…doesn’t happen with pedigree cats, and with “normal” cats, hey, you throw them away, they don’t get operated on. That’s probably why Puffychika was sitting on the side of the road in the evenings in sub-zero temperatures, either to be eaten by wild dogs, run over by cars or simply to freeze to death…so she came meowing softly to me immediately and came home with me. I was able to treat her eye inflammation immediately, the next day she went to the vet, where she stayed for 10 days until everything was really healed. She has been healthy for over 1 1/2 years. She is extremely affectionate and grateful, comes onto my shoulder and gently nibbles my ear, and cleans me when I have time…Extremely sweet, very soft and she “talks”, she gently presses a front paw to my chin or cheek when I lie down….every cat is a child of God…..
